Demolition

Safe removal of old barns and structures

Clearing the Way for What Comes Next

CNO Pole Barns tears down old barns, sheds, garages, and other outbuildings throughout Oakland, Genesee, Lapeer, and Macomb counties. Most demolition calls come from one of two places: a structure that has become a hazard, or a property owner clearing space for something new. Either way, our crew handles the teardown, debris hauling, and site cleanup so you are not left with a pile of material to deal with afterward.

Planned, Not Just Pushed Over

Bringing a structure down safely takes more than a bulldozer. We look at each building before work starts, checking for things like unstable walls, buried utilities, and materials that need special handling, then bring the structure down in a way that protects your property and the ones next door. Reusable materials get salvaged when it makes sense to do so.

Demolition and Rebuild, Handled by One Crew

A lot of our demolition work leads straight into new construction: an old barn comes down, and a new one goes up in its place, sometimes on a tight timeline and through a Michigan winter. Because CNO Pole Barns handles both the teardown and the build, you are working with one crew and one point of contact instead of coordinating separate contractors for each half of the project.

Free Estimates Before Any Work Begins

CNO Pole Barns was established in 1970, and today owner Zosim Serban runs the business with his own crew. We are licensed and insured, carry an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and give a free, on-site estimate for every demolition project before any work begins. Call (248) 625-2334 to talk through what needs to come down.

Common questions

How much does it cost to demolish an old barn?

Demolition costs depend on the size of the structure, the materials involved, accessibility, and whether hazardous materials like asbestos are present. We provide free on-site estimates so you know what to expect before any work begins.

Can you salvage materials from my old barn?

When possible, yes. Reclaimed barn wood, hardware, and metal can often be salvaged and reused. If you want to keep any materials from the old structure, let us know and we will set them aside during demolition.

Do I need a permit to demolish a barn or building?

Most Michigan townships require a demolition permit, and some require utilities to be disconnected before work begins. We handle the permitting process across Oakland, Genesee, Lapeer, and Macomb counties so the project stays on track.
